When did you know you wanted to become an accountant?
I was introduced to accounting my senior year in high school and I decided to become an accountant my first year of college. They asked me to declare a major and as I looked down the list (in alphabetical order) accountant was at the top so I chose it.
When did you know you wanted to become a CPA?
I first realized what a CPA was and knew that I wanted to become one after being introduced to NABA as a student.
Do you have any family members who are also CPAs?
No
Where did you sit for the CPA exam?
NJ - first year 150 credit hours was implemented
How many times did you take each part? FAR - ; REG - ; AUD - ; BEC?

In your own words, what are the advantages of being a Black CPA?
At this point I haven't seen any.
What do you do now professionally?
Controller at a large Nonprofit
What advice do you have for anyone considering a career in accounting?
It's rewarding. It has so many tentacles. Every business needs them. Recession proof.
